Overview of low headroom chain hoist

Low headroom hoist is a kind of lifting equipment with a compact structure. Compared with average hoists, the design of the low headroom hoist reduces the distance from the hook to the beam to compress its height. Therefore, the lifting height of low headroom hoists can be increased by 200 ~ 500mm, it is more flexible and convenient to use in a small space workplace. Beside, with an electric traveling trolley, you can walk up and down the I-beam, usually in four different directions: up, down, left and right. Electric chain block is an ideal tool for lifting, transporting, loading and unloading goods and heavy objects.

What is headroom?

Headroom means the space from the hoist suspension point to the fully raised hook saddle. (For a chain hoist with hook mount, the headroom dimension is the distance between the saddle of the top hook and the saddle of the fully raised bottom hook.)

As you can see from the diagram, the headroom is the space between where the trolley rides on the beam to the load point on the hook. Always remember that headroom is measured with the load chain in its uppermost position as seen here.

Application of low headroom hoist

Low clearance electric chain hoist is composed of two traveling trolleys and a motor. These compact hoist and trolley combinations are real space savers! The trolley has been specially designed to accommodate the curvature of the chain hoist case, allowing the hoist to ride higher than most other hoist/trolley configurations. About the operator

The operator are supposed to be responsible for the safe operation, lifting and avoiding all possible risks involved during working. • Completely master the operation skills of the low headroom hoist
• The age of operator is over 18.
• The operator shall perform daily checks before operating
• Capable both physically and mentally.
• Have been instructed in operating and maintaining the product and have shown proof of their competence.
• May be expected to perform the duties assigned to them reliably and have awareness of the risks and dangers.

Safety instructions for electric chain block

• Never attempt to straighten the hook when it is distorted
• Never touch metal components without protective gloves
• The hoist and trolley shall be tested and inspected by a relevant expert before commissioning
• Report damage and defects of the hoist to the responsible person timely, do not use the hoist until it has been repaired
