Double girder semi gantry cranes are a special design of gantry crane that combines the design of a bridge crane with that of a motorized rail travelling gantry crane.  One end of gantry crane bridge is supported by an elevated runway as with an end carriages, and the other end of the crane bridge is supported by a freestanding crane supporting legs, with wheels travelling on ground beams and rails. In the single leg crane design,  the power is typically provided by a power bar and collector assemblies along the elevated runway side of the semi portal crane and distributed by a festoon system to the hoist trolley.

Semi Gantry Cranes also called the semi portal crane, and they can be controlled either by a wired pendant control or with an optional crane radio remote control system.
