Which devices Are Most Commonly Used To Lift Steel Plates?

Plate clamps & hooks

Plate clamps for lifting or lifting dogs, also known as plate hooks, come in a variety of shapes and sizes, including grab hooks, end hooks, flat plate hooks, and hooks for round portions. These steel plate clamps can lift multiple sheets of steel at once, and numerous variants can be designed based on the load thickness that needs to be lifted. Lifting hooks are an efficient, non-marking lifting medium that allows for the cost-effective transfer of many sheets.

Plate clamps are available in three forms, allowing steel sheet lifting in both vertical and horizontal orientations, as well as unique positions based on your needs. Two plate clamps (or more) are commonly used together and are sometimes complimented by the use of spreader beams, which not only help disperse the load equally but also allow the clamps to be spaced out evenly. Each clamp form is available in a variety of orientations.

Many clamps have hinges; some are heavy-duty, some are specifically intended as high-grip models, and some are non-marking devices with leather pads to minimize scratch marks during transportation. Furthermore, platform clamps can be utilized to rotate steel sheets 90 degrees and even 180 degrees, allowing for vertical lifting and horizontal alignment of the steel sheets.

Plate hooks can be used to raise many steel sheets at once, and we can select different versions depending on the load thickness that needs lifting. Two or more hooks are frequently used together, and they are frequently supplemented by the use of spreader beams, which help spread the load uniformly and allow the plate hooks to be spaced out equally.

Plate magnets

Lifting magnets, as the name implies, work by exerting a strong magnetic pull on steel sheets. However, for lifting magnets to work correctly, the load must also have magnetic characteristics. Lifting magnets can be used to lift various objects, such as tubing, piping, and cylindrical steel objects. There are mainly three types of interests that can be used for lifting steel materials: permanent lifting magnets, electric lifting magnets, and electro-permanent magnets.Before employing a lifting magnet, the operator will execute a check process to ensure the magnet has enough lifting force to lift a specified load.

 

Vacuum lifter for steel plates handling

Vacuum lifting equipment is widely utilized in various industrial sectors for the lifting and handling of flat or smooth-surfaced materials/components. Vacuum lifting equipment can readily lift and handle objects such as metal or glass plates, concrete slabs, pipes, plaster boards, plastic laminates, cement bags, beer kegs and tins, and so on. Suction pads (rather than traditional lifting accessories) are used in vacuum lifting equipment to attach and lift loads.
